Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
is performed on people who have stopped breathing and do not have a pulse. It is vital in life-threatening situations like a drowning accident or cardiac arrest. The aim of CPR is to compress the chest and heart so that blood can be pumped to the brain.

CPR & Basic Life Support Training

CPR or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation is an emergency lifesaving procedure performed when the heart stops beating. Immediate CPR can double or triple chances of survival after cardiac arrest. The BLS certification is available from the American Heart Association (AHA) and taught by our certified instructors. It is almost identical to a CPR class but it is ultimately geared towards healthcare providers. Anyone who is likely to come across an injury or accident in the workplace, or who works in a location that is more than five minutes from a hospital or medical clinic will benefit from the added level of education, hands-on training and practice. The BLS certification course is designed to take approximately four hours, based on a course with one instructor, six students and two manikins, which is the recommended instructor-student ratio.

If your company is interested in scheduling on-site training for a group, the course may require slightly more time to ensure all participants have ample time to practice and demonstrate their skills on the manikins.
